The bass drum itself should be offset accordingly. Just visualize how a bass drum would be placed in a double-bass setup, and youâll get the picture (Fig. 3). Obviously, if your rack toms are mounted on your bass drum, offsetting that drum is going to move the toms over as well. But this neednât be a problem.

. The impact of a drop or a new melody often comes from the silence that precedes it. Coming back to the Fred Again.. example, the drop is preceded by total silence. So the first trick for effective turnaround is to simply remove a few elements. Good candidates for this are the kick, the snare, and the bass.
Replicate the rhythm of the first break in the second break by copying the high hat shuffle from the second eighth note to the fourth and fifth eighth note, then copy the kick-hat-snare chunk onto the section after that. The snares need a little tightening up. Get rid of the little glitch after the snare by, again, dragging the left hand side
