Once you come out of the woods above Roseys Café the trail into Wengen is paved. Your other choice for getting up from the valley floor would be to walk all the way from Steckelberg into Lauterbrunnen (easy flat walking) and take the main trail from Lauterbrunnen up to Wengen. Uphill about 1 1/2 hrs.
You’ll need to bear in mind that there are no cars in Mürren, so you’ll have to either walk, get the bus or train back to Lauterbrunnen. Route map: L auterbrunnen to Mürren. Lauterbrunnen – Wengen – Kleine Scheidegg. If you’re up for a big day, then you could always head on this hike through Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg.
Add at least one more night. Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald are both beautiful, with Grindewald being the town where the most tour buses drop the most touristssome are daytrippers and some will stay the night. Avoid Grindelwald and choose either Lauterbrunnen or the better option of either Murren or Wengen.

. Then follow the signs to Lauterbrunnen as you drive south through the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Route 2: Through Interlaken (The trip takes around 1 hour) Take Route 10 East to Interlaken Ost. Then, take the A8 southbound to Lauterbrunnen. From there, you can find the parking lots and head towards the train station to catch the train up.
Train back to Wengen. Option 2: Lauterbrunnen valley- take bus to Stechelberg. Walk to Lauterbrunnen. Stop by Trummelbach falls and/or Murrenbach fall (Can be used at rainy day) Option 3: 1) Bluemental Panorama Trail (Murren to Allmendhubel funicular, then down to Murren) . Then Murren to Gimmelwald walk.

Lauterbrunnen down in the valley bottom. MĂĽrren is on top of the cliffs on the other side of the valley. From Wengen you can see Schilthorn (the mountain above MĂĽrren). As you can see, they are opposite sides of the same valley, personal choice. You get from one to another by going down to Lauterbrunnen, and up the other side.
The big waterfall in Lauterbrunnen is accessible by car. In Wengen, you can walk from the station straight into the village and it's flat whereas Murren is a little hilly and involves a bit of a walk from the train into the village centre.
